Chicken Tikka



Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Chicken are among the most recognized Indian dishes around the world. Here's a quick easy recipe for you to enjoy at home without having to fuss over spice measurements.


Ingredients:

  • Modern Masala Tikka Masala spice packet

  • 1 ½ - 2 lbs Chicken Breasts (cut into 1 ½”cubes)

  • ½ cup Yogurt (Full-Fat)

  • 1 Tbsp Ghee or Oil

  • 2-3 Cloves Garlic – Minced

  • 1 Tbsp Ginger – Minced

  • Chili to taste - Minced

  • ½ Lemon - Juice

  • Cilantro for Garnish


Instructions:

  1. Make marinade by mixing the contents of this package with the above ingredients (except chicken and cilantro)

  2. Coat the chicken in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 24 hours prior to cooking.

  3. Preheat oven to 450° F or Broil setting Low, then line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or wax paper and spray with cooking spray.

  4. Spread the marinated chicken pieces on the baking pan, leaving space in between.

  5. Bake chicken in the preheated oven until browned and no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes.


Note: you can also grill the marinated chicken on Medium-High heat for 10-12 minutes, flipping once, until slightly charred and no longer pink inside. If grilling, skewer the pieces.


Garnish and serve with your favorite side or on a salad.
