Slow-Cooked Baby Back Pork Ribs

If you have been to Tava, then you know my BBQ Ribs. One of the most popular dishes at Tava were my Ribs. May seems odd since Tava was an Indian restaurant, but I'll have to dig up some articles on the food one day. We were labeled as Modern Indian or Californian Indian food. I still here phrases about the ribs, 9 years later. Now you can make fall off the bone, tender, flavorful Baby Back ribs at home.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

  2. Place ribs meat-side down on aluminum foil. Prick back of rib rack several times with a knife.

  3. Generously apply Modern Masala’s Masala BBQ Rub to all sides of rib rack.

  4. With rib rack meat-side down, fold foil around it. Double wrap to create a tight seal.

  5. Transfer to sheet pan.

  6. Bake in preheated oven until tender and cooked through, about 3 hours.

  7. Remove and cool 20 minutes.

  8. Increase oven temperature to Low Broil.

  9. Open foil, drain and discard any accumulated juices and fat. Brush barbeque sauce on all sides of rack.

  10. Place rack meat-side up and return to oven, leaving foil open. Broil for about 10 minutes until the sugar starts to caramelize.

  11. Remove from oven and let cool for 30 minutes.

  12. Cut rack into individual rib segment topped with more barbeque sauce.

Serve with mashed potatoes, Mac and Cheese or your favorite sides.

Enjoy.
